On Friday 9th June 2017 at 9.30am Steve Brock (CNI Network Trustee) and Andy Fox (Stockton Town Pastor volunteer) will set off on a 234 mile cycle ride. Starting at South Tyneside the cycle ride will visit 15 CNI Network local projects across the North East of England and will finish in Northallerton on Sunday 11th June at 4.15pm. Founder of Street Angels and CNI Network, Paul Blakey MBE, will also be joining them (though driving not cycling!).
As you may know the North East of England is know for its hills and the North York Moors on day 2 will be a particular challenge! Along the way they will visit iconic landmarks (such as Angel of the North, Middlesbrough Transporter Bridge, Whitby Abbey and York Minister) and meet local volunteers. There will be opportunities for photographs, media coverage and for local projects to run localised fundraising as well as supporting the work of CNI Network.
The timings, planned meeting points and gradient graphs is available here (all subject to change)
Would you consider sponsoring Steve and Andy as they undertake this mammoth challenge...
You can join the adventure on our Facebook event page (which will have regular updates) or come and cheer Steve and Andy on if you live near the route! The cycle ride also sets the pace for the CNI Network North East of England Conference which will be held on Thursday 29th June at Middlesbrough's Riverside Stadium. More details soon.
